Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using UnLapse (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms apply to all users and govern your access to and use of UnLapse, including any content, features, and subscriptions offered through the App.
Description of the Service
UnLapse is a self improvement and habit tracking application designed to help users better understand and manage their personal behaviors through tracking tools, reflections, reminders, AI coaching, and educational content. UnLapse does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic services and is not a substitute for professional care. The AI coaching feature generates responses using artificial intelligence. These responses are not professional advice and should not be treated as such.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use UnLapse. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep it updated.
Subscriptions and Payments
UnLapse requires a paid subscription to access the App’s features. Payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms and policies. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings. UnLapse does not directly process refunds. Refund requests must be made through Apple or Google in accordance with their policies.
AI Coaching
The AI coaching feature (“Casper”) uses artificial intelligence to provide personalized responses. By using this feature, you acknowledge that responses are AI generated and may not always be accurate or appropriate. UnLapse is not responsible for actions taken based on AI coaching responses. Do not rely on AI coaching as a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
• Use the App for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to access or interfere with other users’ data
• Reverse engineer, copy, or misuse the App or its content
• Use the App in a way that could harm, disable, or impair the service
• Attempt to manipulate, exploit, or abuse the AI coaching feature
Content You Provide
You retain ownership of any content you submit, such as journal entries, voice recordings, or written reflections. By using the App, you grant UnLapse a limited license to store and process this content solely for the purpose of providing the App’s functionality.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” UnLapse makes no guarantees regarding outcomes, results, or effectiveness. Individual results vary.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, UnLapse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Your use of the App is at your own discretion and risk.
Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. UnLapse may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any changes.
